On behalf of the Council of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore, I would like to record my heartiest congratulations to the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine (HKAM) on the occasion of its 25th anniversary.
Since its establishment in 1992, the HKAM has been playing an important role in promoting the advancement of medicine and overseeing the provision of continuing medical education to maintain the professional standard of specialists.
The Academy enjoys a close relationship with HKAM which continues to flourish and further strengthened with their participation in the bi-annual Singapore-Malaysia Congresses of Medicine. Together with the Academy of Medicine of Malaysia, these three sister Academies meet regularly to discuss the progress of postgraduate medical education in the region.
Once again, I would like to congratulate the Council and Fellows of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine on reaching this milestone, and look forward to maintain this link of kinship and close ties between Academicians in both countries.
