On behalf of the Dental Council of Hong Kong, I wish to extend my heartfelt congratulations to the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine and its members and fellows on your 25th Anniversary.

Since its establishment, the Academy has made remarkable contributions in the provision and the progression of postgraduate specialist training and continuing professional development for the medical and dental professions in Hong Kong. As a constituent college, the College of Dental Surgeons of Hong Kong has been well guided by the Academy and committed itself devotedly to promoting the advancement of knowledge in the field of dental surgery. Numerous competent dental specialists and general practitioners were groomed by the College and they have become the backbone of the dental profession. The community was benefited at large by the updated dental expertise brought forth by these programmes.

The contributions in training & education and professional regulation in standards setting made by the Academy have been well recognized and appreciated by members of the professions and the community. On this auspicious occasion of the Academy’s 25th Anniversary, I would like to thank the Academy for its wholehearted dedication to promoting and improving patient care. I would also like to take this opportunity to wish the Academy every success and scale new heights in its future endeavours.
