Prof. LAU Chak-sing, President, and Dr. LAU Chor-chiu, Chairman of the 25th Anniversary Organising Committee, talked to the Sing Tao Daily about the milestones of the Academy over the past 25 years, such as the establishment of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine Ordinance, collaboration with the mainland and overseas counterparts on upholding high standards of specialist training as well as setting up of the Hong Kong Jockey Club Disaster Preparedness and Response Institute and the Hong Kong Jockey Club Innovative Learning Centre for Medicine. They also spoke on the current manpower situation of different specialties and the development of Family Medicine in Hong Kong.
