The College of Surgeons of Hong Kong wins the inaugural InterCollegiate Basketball Tournament
The tournament, which lasted 7 days with 10 teams competing, successfully concluded on 11 August 2018.
The College of Surgeons of Hong Kong emerged as the champion beating the College of Orthopaedic Surgeons 33:15 while the second and third runner-up were secured by the Hong Kong College of Otorhinolaryngologists and the Hong Kong College of Emergency Medicine respectively. The Most Valuable Player award went to Dr. Timothy NG from the College of Surgeons of Hong Kong. Free throw and 3-point shooting contests were also organised.
Prof. C.S. LAU, the Academy’s President, congratulated various teams and appreciated the organising efforts before presenting different prizes together with other honourable guests. The tournament was inaugurated in celebration of the Academy’s Silver Jubilee.
